Background: I am an international development specialist with almost twenty years of experience with food and nutrition security programmes, research, policy, and advocacy. I am passionate about making real-world improvements in the lives of the most deprived people and has sought to do so in a variety of strategic, technical and operational roles. I’ve had a persistent focus on improving the situation of the poorest and most marginalised people and has worked in several African countries. I enjoy working with people equally committed to these issues.
In my previous two roles at the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition and Save the Children, I shaped strategy and developed partnerships and evidence to achieve change on the ground in complex situations. I am a Trustee of the Bristol based charity TREEAID that builds on my earlier interests in natural resource management and a MA in Environment and Development from the School of Oriental and African Studies.
Outside of work I thoroughly enjoy spending time with my family, with two busy children and in my garden growing vegetables.
